Autumn

English: English country lane in Autumn.

Sun warms frost on fallow fields
Rising mist captures morning light

Pumpkins sparkle in the dawn
Ruddy orange faces glowing bright

Trees display autumn finery
Reds and golds the season’s fashion

Blue sky shines off quiet streams
Likeness dances in reflection

Dried leaves rustle in the wind
Chase like dogs, children or such

Evening sunset washes colors soft
Pastels caress with barest touch

Waxing moon hangs in evening gloom
Plays tag with fleeting wisps of cloud

Stars twinkle as night approaches
Stunning diamonds worn ever proud

Fall colors in Newberg, Oregon, USA.
