Dawn came on the wings of the rainbow.  First there was blue; pale and icy.  Then came purple, in the beginning dark and violet but then brightening to an effervescent  raspberry.  Red followed deep and true, but quickly was replaced by a flightier pink.  Orange streaked through being chased quickly by yellow.  Finally, the sun burst from below the horizon and captured the foggy morning in prisms of white light that floated through the shadows of the trees to land softly on the golden forest floor.

Love all the splashes of color. I could see that dawn clearly.
